CHARACTER
Name: Luke Crain
True Name: Robin
Canon: The Haunting of Hill House (last episode, after the House makes him overdose but before he's revived)
Age: 32
History: character wiki link
Powers/Abilities: In general, nothing above and beyond normal human. The only extra "quirk" is the "twin thing" he has with Nell; he could feel when she died because he felt inexplicably cold and empty, and she felt sick whenever he went through withdrawals. Whenever one of them is hurt or in some kind of extreme pain, be it physical or emotional, the other can feel it.
He also in general is pretty damn sensitive to ghost activity and really Would Rather Not Be. He's incredibly traumatized by the ghost activity he was subjected to as a kid, okay?
Inventory: The clothes on his back, a crushed box of cigarettes that's half empty, a cheap lighter, his wallet with ID and things, his 90 day chip, and a small notebook.
Job History: Not very much, honestly; Luke has spent the majority of his adult life bouncing between rehab and living on the streets, stealing what he needed and doing without what he couldn't get. He's worked menial jobs here and there, but nothing that lasted very long.
Suppressions: Luke is a bundle of fear and anxiety rolled up into the psyche of a man who never fully grew up. He tries to suppress his fears, used heroin to bury them deeper or at least cover them up, but they always creep up to the surface in the end. He's afraid of the ghosts, afraid of not being believed, afraid of pushing his family so far away they abandon him completely. Afraid he won't ever be able to fully kick his habit.
Greatest Fear: The ghosts in Hill House, and the house in general. Specifically the man in the bowler hat who stalks him whenever he's sober. He's been running from them his whole life since he was six and using heroin to block them out the best he can.
Greatest Desire: A family, whole and functional, without all the shit that got in the way. To be clean and sober for longer than a few months without feeling like he's always on the edge of relapse.
Greatest Regret: All the times he manipulated Nell to get a fix, and to a lesser degree his family. He regrets everything he did to the rest of them, but Nell is the one that cuts the deepest.
